Ms. Stanton heads the Bankruptcy Department and has over thirty years of
experience in the bankruptcy area. Ms. Stanton commenced her career as a law
clerk for the United States Bankruptcy Court and has practiced in this area
ever since. In addition, Ms. Stanton has served as an adjunct professor at
the University of Missouri —Kansas City School of Law where she taught
commercial transactions and debtor-creditor.
Ms. Stanton has been a Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee for the Western District
of Missouri for over 20 years. Over the years she has been appointed as
Chapter 7 trustee in thousands of case. In those cases her primary
responsibility is to liquidate assets of the estate for the benefit of
creditors of the bankruptcy estate. Further, she is responsible for
reporting and investigating any fraud or wrongdoing by either the debtor in
bankruptcy or the creditors.
